미국 생활이 벌써 6개월이 지나간다.

지난 몇 개월 동안 정착하느라 몸도 마음도 바빴나 보다.

그 때는 느끼지 못하고 흘려 보냈던 감정들이 요즘에서야 조금씩 되새겨진다.

돌이켜보니 "무식한게 용감하다"는 말이 맞나보다.

낯선 곳에 와서 뭘 모르는지도 모르면서도 하나하나 잘 헤쳐온 것 같다.

두렵고 막막한 마음에 곤히 자는 마누라와 딸 옆에서 울기도 했고,

취업하고 제대로 된 가구와 살림살이를 장만하면서 뿌듯함에 눈물이 나기도 했다.

마냥 즐거워하며 잘 적응해준 딸 아이가 너무 고맙다.

힘들고 어려운 상황에서도 믿고 응원해준 마누라가 너무 고맙다.

멀리 한국에서 힘들지 말라고 기도하고 응원해준 가족들과 친구들이 너무 고맙다.

잘모르는 우리를 반겨주고 많은 도움주셨던 이웃들이 너무 고맙다.

이렇게 2017년은 내 인생에서는 또 하나의 잊을 수 없는 한 해가 되었다.

그리고 난 항상 이렇게 나를 칭찬한다.

고생했어, 잘했어, 더 잘 될거야..

이제 더 나은 2018년이 되기를 기도한다.

It's been six months since we came to the US.

I had to settle in here reliably, so I was so busy in the past few months mentally and physically.

So now I feel emotions that I couldn't feel at that time.

Looking back, it is true that the Korean proverb, "The ignorant are brave".

I have been solving the problem one by one even without knowing what I didn't know.

I've cried since I was afraid at a time beside sleeping my daughter and wife.

After I got a job, I wept for joy buying good furniture and household goods.

Thank you so much for my daughter who was so happy and well adapted and for my wife who believed and supported me even in hard and difficult times.

And also thanks for family and friends who prayed and cheered me from in Korea, the neighbors who have welcomed us and helped us.

So 2017 was another unforgettable year in my life.

And I always compliment myself like this.

Good job, you'll be better.

And now I pray for a better 2018.
